Once dogs pick out their favorite toy, there is not a lot you can do about it. Even if the toy they pick out isn’t toy at all.
For Ryder, an adorable Golden Retriever, there is no better toy than an Eeyore ornament his family puts on the Christmas tree. Every time he sees the ornament inspired by the character from Winnie-the-Pooh, he has to take it off.
The mischievous dog proceeds to play with Eeyore (or use it as a nap buddy) until someone discovers him. The ornament gets placed back on the Christmas tree until Ryder finds the opportunity to steal it once again.
After the video of Ryder’s “sticky fingers” got viral, social media users started making theories about why the dog is doing this. Most of them agreed that he is simply making his Christmas wish list and would like to get an Eeyore toy.
“The pup is making his Christmas list..it wants a bigger Eeyore,” one user wrote.
It remains to be seen whether Ryder receives his own Eeyore toy or at least gets to keep the current one that he likes so much. Hopefully, his owners will give us an update before Christmas.
