Rihanna is truly a fashion icon of our time. If there were any doubts about that in the past, her latest collaboration with jewelry company Jacob & Co will definitely make them go away.
The collab saw Rihanna and Jacob & Co creating a watch choker that screams luxury. It is based on Jacob & Co’s Brilliant Flying Tourbillon watch, made of white gold and encrusted with 368 diamonds.
The piece debuted at the 2023 Louis Vuitton Fashion Show in Paris, and it was “the first time that a timepiece has been worn on a neck,” according to the company.
When Rihanna approached Jacob & Co, she had the vision to create a watch choker that would serve as a remarkable fashion statement for the highly anticipated Louis Vuitton fashion show,” said the company about teaming up with Rihanna. “Through a collaborative brainstorming session, @jacobarandco and Rihanna arrived at a captivating concept that would bring her vision to life.”
The good news is that this unique watch choker will actually be available in retail. The bad news is that anyone who wants to own it will have to part with $700,000.
