Sharmadean Reid Will Change The Way You Think About Nails

Sometimes a good manicure is just that, other times it pulls your whole look together, and on rare occasions – it’s an art form.

London nail salon, WAH Nails, is known for its innovative style. Formed in 2009 by entrepreneur Sharmadean Reid, it completely changed the beauty landscape with its millennial voice, feminist attitude, and innovative salon space.

Reid treats the nail salon as more than just a place where you go to get your nails done, but as a social gathering for women, in other words: a community. Her mission is to use technology to empower women, economically, socially and culturally.

With her vision in mind and funky sense of style, her small Dalston salon has turned into a global sensation. Reid’s nail products sell at major retailers, and her eye-popping designs have sparked nail trends around the world.

And with her experience from WAH, she founded Beautystack, a new way to book beauty through images. She also shared her journey by organizing business events for young female entrepreneurs culminating in futuregirlcorp.com.
