]]>Yesiltas started the project with aging climate activist Greta Thunberg, and the result is quite convincing.
“Behind this project lies the question of “What will some of the young people we know look like a few decades from now?”,” Yesiltas explains.
The artist also added several decades to musicians Harry Styles and Justin Bieber, actress Emma Stone, and soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. In each case, the AI did a pretty good job.
Browsing though Yesiltas’s Young Age(d) collection, we noticed that AI made some intriguing choices when it came to making celebrities older. Some changed their entire image, while others just got a few wrinkles and gray hair. This contrasts with most other “aging” projects, which frequently use the same approach for every photo.

Allen describes herself as a “Xennial” because she was born on the cusp between Generation X and Millennials. This term usually refers to people born between the late 70s and early 80s, who grew up during the 90s.
“The 90s were a special time because we were going through this transition from an analog life into a digital life… We have all the same memories. I think the other reason [why people like my videos so much] is the music. Music has a way of connecting with people and bringing people together,” she told LA Unscripted.
Allen mostly specializes in nostalgia-driven, throwback content that will take you back in time when kids spent their days watching MTV and social media still wasn’t a thing.

Messi is no stranger to a popular social media post. He’s one of the most followed people on the platform, with an astonishing 406 million followers. And now, he’s knocked his own post into the third-place spot.
After years of competing against each other on the pitch, his sporting rival Christiano Ronaldo and the Argentinian star joined forces to surprise their combined followers with a photograph in collaboration with luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton. The internet, as you can imagine, went wild. In less than 24 hours after they posted, Ronaldo earned more than 32 million likes and Messi reached 25 million.
But that iconic collaboration wasn’t ever in the number one spot. The previous holder of most-liked status was, in fact, an egg. Yes, you heard that correctly.

You can follow this adorable couple on Instagram, along with over 800,000 people. Their Instagram posts include photos of them in cute outfits. The couple takes the photos with an iPhone mounted on a tripod.
Most of their clothes come from high street stores. “Of course we’re happy to be described as style icons in the media, but that’s not really how we see ourselves. We wear simple, inexpensive clothes that anyone can buy,” Tomi told The Guardian. They became popular after their daughter posted some photos of her parents on her own Instagram profile, after which many people requested more.

]]>Katina, who also happens to be a model, came up with the idea to recreate her brother’s images around four years ago. Little Augie loved the photoshoot from day one, and as he began to get older, he got funnier and funnier.
“When he was nine months old, I put a shirt on him, but it wasn’t buttoned yet. He was squirming, and I realized he reminded me of a pic I had seen on Aris’ Instagram page, so I snapped a pic and did a side-by-side, and the rest is history,” Augie’s mom told in an interview for Bored Panda.
Katina, who now has over 66,000 Instagram followers, says that her son is now old enough so he can pick the photos he wants to do. As she explained, her toddler cooperates the most after having a relaxing bath.
As for the uncle, he was involved from the start and was even was allowed to choose the best side-by-side images.

]]>Adopted from the Lynchburg Humane Society in 2017, Merlin has outgrown his humble beginnings fairly quickly, attracting a massive fanbase, both online and offline, thanks to his charismatic character and unique features. A Napoleon cat, a rare mixed breed of a Munchkin and a Persian cat, he’s relatively small and very much fluffy. Being blind, his eyes are milky blue, which makes for a rather striking combination.
“It’s a pretty new breed–by new I mean 20 to 22 years,” explained his owners. “Napoleons are pretty small, but they’re able to move around as easily as normal-sized cats. For the most part, they inherit the Persian’s physical characteristics.”
According to the Greens, Merlin is an affectionate cat, and loves being acknowledged and held. “He’s never destructive or petty, either,” they say, adding that he doesn’t hide or avoid people and runs up to the door to greet his owners. His preferred sitting place? Someone’s lap.
