The post Dark Dystopia Comics Are Comedy Gold if You Are Into Dark Humor appeared first on https://everydaymonkey.com.
]]>Created by artist Andres Londono, the Dark Dystopia series is full of things you might feel a bit bad to laugh about. However, that won’t stop you from doing it regardless. Whether it’s a bad man melting a snowman with a cup of coffee, pranks going bad, or people being simply reckless, you’ll know that the outcome isn’t the best but also that it wouldn’t be funny if it was.
According to Londono, the goal of his comics is to show that comedy can be found in unexpected places, even those in which most people wouldn’t dare to look.
“I really enjoy playing with ideas that would usually be considered offensive, sad, or tragic and try to give them a funny approach … I truly believe that with the right approach, anything can be turned into something funny, at least for some,” Londono told Bored Panda in a recent interview.

]]>Jenkins’ comics are filled with surreal and horror-like illustrations that are borderline disturbing. They are full of unexpected and scary moments, some of which might cause those of faint heart to look away. But those who stick with them to the end might end up being rewarded with a chuckle or a surprising twist while getting to enjoy a beautiful style of illustration.
“I would describe my work as exploring satirical and critical subject matter through a distinctive and vivid style. I try to avoid the pretence but wallow in humor, whilst touching on the absurd and surreal,” Jenkins explains on his website.
Jenkins doesn’t keep the unique and disturbing style for his comics. He also creates all sorts of other artworks with similar elements. This includes creating illustrations for high-profile media publications like The New York Times, NME and Vice, while also working on Adult Swim shows.

]]>Eyewash Comics are not expertly illustrated and don’t try to be too smart for their own good. They are simply funny and will get you a good laugh when you stumble upon them on your social media. They deal with all sorts of different themes, ranging from everyday life situations to entertaining puns from the animal world.
According to Agee, he started creating Eyewash Comics during the pandemic when he came up with the idea to launch a single-panel comic series. He intended to use it as a creative outlet for jokes, gags, and puns that would pop into his head from time to time.
“These constant puns and gags can make it hard for me to engage in a conversation longer than 15 seconds, but if I say some of them out loud, they occasionally make other people laugh,” the artist explains on his website.
After the first drafts of his Eyewash Comics were met with positive reactions, Agee decided to focus more on them, and it is proving to be a great decision. The comics have a loyal fanbase on social media, and the number of his followers is constantly increasing.

According to the artist behind Almost 100 Ghosts, who goes by the name of Pavel, he enjoys making up all sorts of funny situations, jokes, and plot twists. However, he isn’t so fond of the drawing side of the comics that much, which is why he decided to give them a simplistic visual style.
“I made the visual style as simple as possible for myself. However, I really enjoy coming up with plots and jokes; time always flies unnoticed when I’m engaged in this activity,” he shared.
This actually turned out to be a great decision. It allows viewers to focus more on the story while the comics still look eye-catching despite not being overly polished. Check out more of them below.
