The amazing thing about social media is that you can create an account for just about anything. This gives you the opportunity to brand yourself as you see fit, and this doesn’t necessarily have to fall into the standard boxes that society has laid out before you. Perhaps this is what empowered Avi to create an Instagram account titled “That Tall Guy At The Concert”.
Avi writes in his Instagram bio, “Tag me when you’re blocked by a tall guy at a concert”. He then later encourages his followers to stay tuned to all the concerts he goes to. Basically he’s owning up to being that tall man who blocks people at concerts, but in the same breath invites followers to tag all tall people who may be blocking them in the future at concerts.
By doing this, Avi somehow took something that people can’t stand and made it hilarious. No one likes the person at a concert who’s blocking everyone else because they’re tall, and yet now there’s a platform online where everyone can joke about it.
Although the Instagram account is currently in its infant stages, you can already see plenty of posts he shares where he’s at a concert—and likely blocking someone else in the process!
