Just when you thought swimming in a pool couldn’t get any more magical, these two artists come and prove us wrong. Thanks to them, night swimming has officially become next on our to-do list—in these pools, at least.
Camila Despalanques and Rocío Fernández are artists from Buenos Aires. They work together as a team called Amancay Murales and their latest project includes hand-painted pools that mimic Vincent van Gogh’s famous painting The Starry Night.
The artists skillfully transferred the iconic painting onto a swimming pool design, and given that the dominant color in it is blue, it looks like a perfect fit for a project like this. They started by creating a vibrant blue base before adding the night sky elements and swirls.
The pool only gets more beautiful once it’s filled with water. The design seems to float around and the reflection of the nearby nature makes it even more mysterious and truly gorgeous. It took them several days to finish the work and add numerous mesmerizing details.
