This Creative Guy Built His Own Machine for Printmaking

How did you spend 2020? For many people, it was the year in which they had the most time ever for creative projects due to lockdowns and lack of other things to do. Some resorted to redecorating their homes, others started to paint or make music, and Sussex-based Tom Boulton decided to make his own tabletop press.

With his invention, Boulton can now make art prints in no time, without taking up half the room. The traditional machines that do this are typically big and heavy, but his F-Press was 3-D printed to fit on a tabletop and enable the user to make A5 prints without much room or additional equipment.

Boulton went to Crowdfunder in order to get £15,000 and make this product available for anyone who wants it. You can still back him up and if you donate £300, you can get your own F-Press around July 2021. If you visit his Instagram, you can see some of the designs he created using this new device.
