Twitter User Shares AI-Generated Photos of a Party That Never Happened

Midjourney is a powerful Artificial Intelligence program that is behind many of the impressive art and design project we had a chance to enjoy in recent months. However, it turns out that art and design are just scratching the surface of midjourney’s potential.

Twitter user Miles Zimmerman recently shared a series of photos that showed a bunch of young people enjoying a house party. The girls were laughing at the camera and taking selfies, and men were shown raising their drinks for a round of cheers. But there was a catch; none of these photos were real. In fact, they were all generated by midjourney.

To his credit, Zimmerman revealed the true nature of the photos right away. But that didn’t stop the internet from being shocked at how disturbingly realistic they were. And you will be as well.

Now, despite the great job that midjourney did with these photos, there were still some glaring mistakes the AI made. Some individuals were shown with extra fingers or extra teeth, while others had body parts growing out of them or displayed other signs of being generated by Artificial Intelligence.

While it is obvious that AI still hasn’t perfected its take on humans, we can safely say that it will get there at some point. After that, it might be even harder to trust things we see online.

“Pretty soon, the only way to tell will be to count the fingers,” one Twitter user wrote in response to Zimmerman’s post.
