Aleksandra Krylova is Making Embroidered Jewelry Inspired by Works of Art

Embroidery art is usually purely decorative, so it’s always a blast to stumble upon artists who manage to make it practical. Aleksandra Krylova is one of them, and her embroidery art takes the form of beautiful jewelry and brooches, often inspired by famous works of art.

Krylova is an embroidery artist based in Russia and she’s been doing embroidery full-time for about five years. Her Instagram page is now followed by over 50,000 people, and she’s selling her embroidered brooches, earrings, and pendants on several platforms for crafters and artists.

From Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss to Claude Monet’s Water Lilies, Krylova’s embroidery is inspired by some of the most iconic paintings of all time, and she’s recreating them using only needle and thread.

“I make handmade embroidered jewelry inspired by great art and artists. Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, some medieval art, you name it… My works make great gifts because every piece of jewelry is so special and unique,” she writes on her Inspire Uplift page.

You’ll be impressed by Krylova’s creations if you love fashion and art in equal measure because she managed to brilliantly mix them into one. Her jewelry makes it possible to carry your favorite paintings everywhere you go, in the form of wearable art.
