]]>A few years back, Floyd, who is the founder of the fashion brand Infinite Kustomz, was approached by Visit Lex, a tourism agency from his hometown, with the idea of making custom sneakers for horses. Lexington proudly views itself as the “horse capital of the world”, and Visit Lex believed it could be a fun way to promote the city and establish horses as athletes.
Floyd ended up creating several custom kicks for horses by retrofitting human sneakers designed by Nike, Adidas, and New Balance. The sneakers, which were later auctioned off for charity, caused quite a buzz and prompted Floyd to turn the project into a full business.
Floyd established a brand named Horse Kicks and has been making custom kicks for horses ever since. He isn’t just retrofitting existing models but is also creating his own designs. According to him, there is a growing market for his product, and he intends to continue exploring it.
“There’s a huge market for shoes for these athletes, whether they’re running in them, jumping or just traveling to the show,” Floyd told The Washington Post in a previous interview.

]]>The mural, featuring a fleet of Apache helicopters with pink bows, was painted by Banksy back in 2006 at a building in London. The word about the work has quickly spread, causing the building owner to paint it over. They later sold the building without mentioning the existence of the mural.
The new owner only learned about Banky’s mural when they browsed through Martin Bull’s book BANKSY LOCATIONS AND TOURS and saw the photo of “Holywell Row Happy Choppers”. When they went to examine the location of the mural from the photo, they found the artwork covered with black paint with only a small part showing.
Wanting to salvage the piece, the building owner contacted the Fine Art Restoration Company, which has worked on restoring other Banksy murals in the past. The restoration team then proceeded to work for over a year on the mural before returning it to its former glory.
“Banksy is a real icon of our time. His art is so important to preserve for future generations,” said an anonymous seller in a statement shared by Anderson & Garland.

According to Bentel, his products and performances aim to “engage viewers to reimagine their everyday objects” while also serving as a storytelling item.
“I make storytelling objects,” he explained in an interview with Surface Mag. “The objects can serve a function, but their main intention is to tell a story. Whether that story is about how the object was made, commentary on a current idea, or simply a physical embodiment of a joke, everything I make has a narrative.”

For example, vinyl Post Malone can be equipped with a katana sword that he wielded in “Rockstar”, a bouquet of sunflowers from “Sunflower”, a metal hand inspired by “Circles”, and a lit cigarette as a nod to “Congratulations”. Additionally, the figurine also comes with an eagle headpiece, honoring Malone’s favorite animal.
The “Legend of Malone” figurine will be officially released on February 20 at the price of $170. It will be exclusively available through Superplastic’s official webshop.
“Looking back at my music from the last decade to create the looks and accessories for ‘The Legend of Malone’ was a trip,” said Post Malone about the figurine. “Superplastic was the perfect partner for me to co-create this figure, and I couldn’t be more excited with the outcome.”

Jath started baking during her early teenage years, but it took a while until she actually fell in love with it. After getting married at 25, she started baking and decorating her kids’ birthday cake, and this process completely changed her outlook on baking.
“I started decorating cakes eight year ago, to carry on my husband’s family’s tradition of making their kids’ birthday cakes… During 2020 lockdown, I started making macarons. So now I combine my passion for cake decorating with macarons,” she explained in one of her Instagram stories.
Baking and making macaroons is no longer a solo adventure for Jath, and she enjoys doing it with her whole family. She lets her kids decorate macarons whenever she has some leftovers, but it’s too early to teach them how to make them from start to finish because they get easily bored.

Of course, books are not the only material Facon uses for these dresses. She makes a skeleton of the dress with fabric and then attaches stylized book pages and parts of the book cover to it.
According to Facon, each of her pieces includes a lengthy process, and finishing one dress can take 250 hours.
“When I have an idea in mind, I make a sketch and I work each step until the last point,” Facon explained her creative process in a recent interview. “Each dress represents approximately 250 hours of work, and there is a lot of work underneath as well: each dress is a construction, and each step has a great importance for the final.”

“No no no.. snow is not made to eat.. u can get seriously sick,” one user argued.
“Fallen snow can be very dirty from the air and wind but who cares. You only live once. I remember eating snow as a kid,” another commented.
Witherspoon later weighed in on the debate by sharing a couple of videos in which she responded to some of the comments. She said that she is on the “you only live once” team and that her “snow salt Chococinno” was delicious.
