The giants are part of Thomas Dambo’s project to inspire people to either recycle their trash or use it to make something useful. Of course, the giants he made are maybe not ‘useful’ in the traditional sense of the word, but they took time and effort and are unlike anything else you’ve ever seen, so if nothing else, Thomas has helped the rural tourism of western Belgium.  

Before taking on this giant project, the artist has made other smaller actions to show people how trash can be reused. His Instagram account even says that all he does is ‘take the trash from the street and turn it into something new’, meaning every single piece we throw away can have better use if we put some effort into it! 

In order to raise awareness of climate change and pollution, he uses all types of social media, so make sure to follow this young artist and maybe you can get inspired and create an art piece of something you would consider trash in the past.

Made using digital technology, many of the installations are designed to be transformed according to the interactions of the visitors. The limit between the body and the artwork becomes ambiguous, and this will make people think about their connection to the world. 

For example, in the installation “Drawing on the surface of the water” you can see a pond that looks like it has fish in it. As visitors, you can step in the ‘water’, and at that moment the area comes to life with animated fish that change direction and speed. If the fish encounters a visitor or another fish, it disappears and leaves a spectrum of colors behind.  

In another installation called “Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers,” visitors witness the seasonal changes in flowers. You can watch the flowers grow, bloom and wither. They compare it to human life and how fragile it can be.

As it turns out, Tetsuya, the 84-years old grandad of Kudo, lived peacefully after he retired from his job as a school teacher until his grandson suggested that they clean up the old attic and play dress up while working. 

Tetsuya accepted to be groomed by Kudo and he really liked what he saw in the mirror. He felt young again and decided that he wanted to be stylish. Tetsuya’s style is couture, avant-garde with a hint of hipster fashion. He even borrows Kudos clothes because they go well with his vision! 

Soon enough he created an Instagram profile and the rest is history. Tetsuya is everything you are looking for in an Instagram fashion Influencer. Not only does he posts his high fashion statements, but he also gives advice on how to match colors and patterns.  

Although Tetsuya is a local celebrity now, he says that he can never forget his first and most important job, being the best grandad in the world! It seems that he is really a pro at grandfathering!

Cats are probably the most worshipped animals on the Internet because they are so cute in any context. Grumpy or happy, furry or bald, cats are definitely one of our favorite animals.  

We often like seeing them in human-like situations, such as – dressed up! This couple from Japan runs an Instagram account which is filled with photos of their adorable kittens wearing the most hilarious nappy hats designed just for them and made from their shed fur! Over the years, the couple has been improving their designs, and if you visit their Instagram page, you’ll see how they progressed from simple pointy hats to more complex caps and wigs.  

From Trump’s toupee to tiny ducks, Ryo and Hiromi Yamazaki are turning their hobby into serious cat-fashion! Their team of models consists of three chubby cats in black, grey and ginger colors. Yamazaki’s work can be found on Instagram under the handle @rojiman. As their designs have improved, the number of followers grew, so today 116K people from all around the world follow their posts on Instagram, and Ryo and Yamazaki even run a website dedicated to their beloved cats.

Dyrlaga began cutting paper in 2010 using only his hands, a scalpel and a sheet of paper. First, he draws on the reverse side paper-side and then cuts. The process is very meditating and fulfilling. Much of his work is inspired by the wildlife of the rural place he lives in. He studied Contemporary Art at Leeds, and after gaining a master’s degree and spending a couple of years travelling, he moved to Hebden Bridge where he lives today.  

Dyrlaga’s art has been exhibited worldwide – in NY, LA, Chicago, Portland, Beijing, Hangzhou, Jinan, Hawaii, Paris and more. His pieces look incredibly realistic, as if they were pulled out from the ocean. They are so gentle, transparent, usually made from white paper, but sometimes he adds some color too. He creates objects with such precision and so much detail, it seems impossible to believe they were handcrafted. Birds, corals, flowers, robots, snakes – they all look so alive and mesmerizing! See for yourself!

Polish artist and designer Ewa Nowak has created facial jewelry whose purpose is to make you unrecognizable to such software. This jewelry is made of a long piece of brass in the form of a mask and it’s called Incognito. The mask curves around the ears like a pair of glasses do and that’s how it stays still on our face. Below the eyes, two brass circles are placed, and between them is one rectangular element.  

Nowak conducted a long-term study using the DeepFace algorithm used by Facebook to figure out the shape, size and location of the mask elements so that it would work.  

When you put the mask on, algorithms for individual-face recognition cannot recognize you. The whole point is keeping you anonymous out on the streets!
