Branding Expert Redesigns Snacks and Soda Drinks to Look “Healthy”

The increasing demand for healthy food among consumers had food and drink companies come up with different ways to keep up with the trend. Some are making changes to their product in order to make them healthier, and others are changing their product designs to make their products seem healthier.

Intrigued by the second method, health food branding expert and TikToker Matt Rosenman decided to start an interesting series in which he redesigns snacks and soda drinks to make them look “healthy.” Using marketing tricks and loose regulations, he is able to make any product seem a lot healthier than it really is.

For example, take a look at the job he did with Coca-Cola. Sure, there is no way this sugary soda drink can be healthy for you the way it is. But adding a more nature-inspired packaging and slapping some generic terms on the can, alongside a name change to Thrive, and you suddenly get a drink that you wouldn’t feel so guilty about when drinking it.

“I want these videos to be fun, but I also want to help educate ya on all the clever marketing tricks that “health foods” use to sound superior,“ Rosenman explains. “Sure, there are truly healthy products out there, but a lot of products simply rely on good marketing.“

The list of other snack and soda drinks Rosenman redesigned to seem healthy include Twinkies, Oreos, and Snickers. Check how he did it in the videos below.
