The first thing you’ll notice as soon as you look at one of Eunpyon’s illustrations is her incredible attention to detail. This conceptual artist made quite a splash on social media with her incredibly intricate anime illustrations that will transport you to a brand-new world.
Eunpyon is the alter ego of the Philippine illustrator Eunice Cruzabra, who attracted over 160,000 followers to her Instagram page. Women usually take center stage in her work, which walks the fine line between sensuality and innocence, anime and realism.
Her fluorescent-colored anime characters are surrounded by countless objects that make her illustrations truly pop. Looking at her work is like playing the game of “Where’s Waldo” and trying to spot all the tiny details she managed to include in each illustration.
Her hometown of Manila inspired many of her drawings, but they exist in a world of their own, which is constantly expanding and evolving, along with Eunpyon’s artistic vision.
“The world that I imagine is constantly changing. Sometimes it’s bright, clear, and hopeful and sometimes it’s a little fuzzy and dim. It’s filled with a multitude of colors and textures, I get overwhelmed when I try to think about it all,” she wrote on Instagram.
