We’re always happy to find talented artists who create beautiful illustrations, and Glasgow-based Katie Smith is definitely one of them. Smith is an illustrator and art student who pours all her love into the colorful art she creates. Celebrating the feminine energy with bold colors is one of her favorite things to do. It’s clear when looking at her beautiful paintings that she really believes in what she’s doing, and we love it!
2020 has been productive for Smith, since she collaborated with the likes of Bare Minerals, Iolla, and even Shania Twain. She enjoys creating art for someone else as much as she enjoys doing it for herself, but no matter who she works for, her style is recognizable and stays similar.
Outside of illustration, Smith is interested in photography, graphic design, and other creative disciplines: “Illustration is really good because it has changed so much! About 10 years ago, people were saying illustration was dying out and everything is going digital. It has done the opposite,” she told Iolla.
