Some people are afraid of snakes while others find them cool or even cute. However, it is safe to say that both of these groups will probably be enamored with the colorful glass snakes created by Ryan Eicher.
Eicher is a Baltimore-based artist who specializes in creating glass-blown pieces. While his creations take various shapes and forms, he is most popular for his tiny serpents.
The glass snakes look everything but scary. Instead, you would almost want them to come alive so you could play with them. One of the reasons for this is Eicher’s use of vibrant colors and intricate patterns. His collection of snakes includes lace snakes, rainbow snakes, see-through snakes, and even snakes that glow in the dark.
Most of Eicher’s snake pieces are original designs, but he also frequently engages in collaborations with other glass artists. He either takes their pieces and turns them into snakes or incorporates their signature styles into his own creation. So far, he has teamed up with the likes of Uncle Sherb, Oahu Glass tubes, and Drew Kups.
