If you love flowers and cupcakes in equal measure, Simone Rister will rock your world with her edible floral creations. She’s the founder of The Cupcake Floristry and specializes in making cupcake bouquets that look just like the real thing.
Rister was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, and she’s not actually a baker or a cook by trade. She has a background in graphic design, which proved to be a useful skill when she decided to start The Cupcake Floristry, her small business that allowed her to combine her design experience with her love for cake decorating.
Rister enjoyed baking for as long as she could remember, and she eventually decided to transform her side hustle into a real business.
“I began by baking for family, friends, and colleagues and was always told that I should ‘make this a business.’ Over the years I have attended many workshops and watched hundreds of tutorials… In between jobs last year I decided to ‘give this a go’, and the rest is history,” she wrote on Instagram.
Rister enjoys making everything from sugar cookies to macarons, but cupcakes are her specialty and they truly blossomed into something amazing in her hands. She’s best known for making cupcake bouquets that have to be seen to be believed because they look just like real flowers.
