Daniela Gallego is an illustrator from Colombia who creates these wonderful illustrations that mix the real world with a bit of magic. The colors are mostly muted and there are plenty of plants, which creates a warm and cozy atmosphere and makes it impossible to stop browsing through her work.
Gallego lives in Barcelona these days, where she passionately does her work. In the past, she’s created illustrations for children’s picture books, as well as numerous editorial and corporate clients. She also enjoys working on her own illustrations that she sells as prints or calendars.
She’s also had her work shown in several group exhibitions in Bogotá and Barcelona. Some of her previous clients include publishing houses from Colombia, magazines in Spain, and she also worked for the Ministry of Culture in Colombia.
“She likes plants and how the light gives them movement. She knows how to create with her hands,” her Behance bio reads. “The most important for me its help others tell their stories and hopefully share my own view as well,” she said.
