This Funny Video Shows Raccoon Trying to Catch Snow

Animals love snow just like humans do, which is quite understandable. Sure, it can be quite cold when it’s snowing outside, but the landscape is beautiful, and the possibilities for fun are endless.

YouTube user Timothy Ellis recently posted a viral video on YouTube that shows how raccoons have fun when it’s snowing. The clip, captured by the security camera, features a raccoon marveling at the snow and trying to catch it.

Of course, the snowflakes are too quick and too small, but that doesn’t discourage the adorable trash panda. He continues to reach with its tiny paws in hopes of eventually catching something.

The video turned out to be a hit as the raccoon seemingly swept the internet users off their feet with his snow play.

“Omg that is so precious. What a little cutie,” wrote one user.

It was exactly because of these types of reactions and the fact that it made people’s day that Ellis was glad he managed to capture the video.

“My main thought was that I definitely needed to save this video because I knew other people would enjoy seeing it. It’s definitely not something you see every day,” he shared when reached out to by The Dodo.

Raccoons don’t hibernate during winter but usually remain in their dens. They go out every few weeks to find food and repeat the process until spring comes.
