Three Students Open a Drive-Thru Pasta Place in Their College House

Finding home-cooked meals can be quite a challenge for college students. That is why three students at Kansas State University decided to open their own drive-thru place that offers their fellow students an opportunity to get some tasty homemade pasta dishes.

Santino Trombino, Quinn Tilley, and Tyler Bolz, now collectively known as The Pasta Boys, turned their college house into a pasta place one Sunday and invited other hungry students to come and get themselves a cheap meal. Priced at only $5, their pasta not only became a huge hit on the campus but also made them internet stars.

TikToker Kenedi Kelso, who is friends with The Pasta Boys, recorded their entire operation and posted it on her social media. The clip quickly reached 7.6 million views and counting while attracting thousands of comments applauding the students’ creativity.

According to The Pasta Boys, the idea for this venture originated from pasta dinners they would organize for their friends. They figured out they could do the same thing for other students, just on a much bigger scale.

“Think about it as one big dinner with your friends,” Trombino, who is also the one responsible for cooking, told the Kansas State’s college newspapers The Collegian. “You provide the food, and everyone just pays you back.”

After the success of their first pasta drive-thru event, The Pasta Boys returned for several more, introducing different offerings each time, like cannoli and pasta with vodka sauce. And considering how popular their food is among other students, something is telling us that more of them are coming in the future.
