If you have a bird feeder in your backyard, you’ve probably noticed that the birds aren’t the only ones attracted by it. Your local squirrels also probably come by in search of food and help themselves.
Most of the time, squirrels satisfy themselves with the food they can extract from the feeder and leave it at that. However, there have been plenty of cases where squirrels got too greedy, and it ended up backfiring. One woman from Snow, Arkansas, recently witnessed this firsthand and got a great video out of it.
The woman was enjoying a relaxing afternoon inside with her fiancé when she looked out of the window and noticed their front porch bird feeder was all “fuzzy.” They went outside only to find a squirrel completely stuck in it. The little fellow went for all the marbles and now found itself in a tough situation.
The fiancé decided to start the rescue mission, opening the birdfeeder and attempting to get the squirrel out. However, this turned out to be much more challenging than it seemed. The adorable rodent seemed like it didn’t want to be rescued, wiggling and trying to bite its savior. It even tried running away while still having one part of the birdfeeder attached to its body.
Finally, the man somehow managed to get the last part off, and the squirrel quickly bolted, probably setting off to find another bird feeder it could rob.
