Adri Rachelle is Giving Rescue Animals a Forever Home on Her Farm

There’s nothing quite like knowing you helped a neglected animal get back on its feet and find its forever home—and Adri Rachelle did it more times than she can count. The owner of Wild Things Sanctuary Inc saved around 200 animals over the years and gave them a home on her farm.

Most animal lovers focus on saving cats and dogs because their homes are too small for other animals, but not Rachelle. She lives on a historic 200-acre farm in Georgia, where she started a family-run sanctuary dedicated to providing a safe home to all kinds of animals, from domestic pets to livestock and exotic animals.

Rachelle has been rescuing neglected animals for quite some time before realizing this is less of a hobby and more of a full-time job, and that’s how she decided to start her own sanctuary.

“Animals that are broken and in danger have always seemed to cross my path and knowing that I’m offering them a safe place to heal gives my life a purpose and that reward far outweighs all of the time, money, and sadness running an animal sanctuary can bring,” she told Bored Panda.

Wild Things Sanctuary Inc was founded with a mission to rescue animals from abuse, slaughter, and neglect and raise awareness about their suffering, and they mostly run on donations.
