Alexis Savopoulos Celebrates the Beauty of the Animal World Through Delicate Art

The beauty of the animal world knows no bounds, and it’s been inspiring artists for centuries. Alexis Savopoulos is celebrating it through her delicate works of art, creating figurines, paintings, jewelry, and shadowboxes inspired by all creatures, great and small.

Savopoulos is based in California, and she’s been sculpting, painting, and jewelry making for over a decade. She’s the creative mastermind behind Meadow & Fawn, and she hosted many exhibitions since starting this brand, with several more on the way.

According to Haven Gallery, animals in her artwork are created with deep-rooted sentience and harmony within their environment. She mostly uses man-made mediums and found objects to bring them to life, using organic material, such as sand, preserved moss, shells, and sea plants, to further connects us to the natural world.

We’ve seen Savopoulos’ animal objects take many different shapes and forms, from decorative figurines to jewelry, mostly necklaces, and lockets, often shaped like her favorite birds – owls.

If we had to pick Savopoulos’ signature product, however, we’d have to go with her shadowboxes. These beautiful dioramas usually come in the shape of wooden shadowboxes and glass boxes, presenting scenes from the animal world that will bring a small piece of the woods into your home.
