Russia-based artist Tatiana Gavrilova, also known as Taniko Ga, has been creating plates shaped like curled up cats in different colors and patterns, and we’re having a really hard time picking a favorite. While her plates are absolutely functional, they also double as unique decor pieces that you’ll proudly display anywhere.
The artist starts her process by using white clay to sculpt the plates, before baking them in the oven, and then painting them by hand. Everything you see—from the fur, to the tail, to all the little face details—were hand-painted by this creative lady. No two pieces are the same, and our favorite thing about them are the pointy ears and tiny paws that “ruin” the circle shape.
Her plates have a diameter of 5.9 inches and they are 0.8 inches deep. Gavrilova also does custom orders, so you can have her make you a plate in custom size or recreate your own pet! She also offers an option of adding a metal loop on the back of the plate if you want to hang it on the wall.
