The post Eric Wert’s Still Life Oil Paintings are Astonishingly Realistic appeared first on https://everydaymonkey.com.
]]>Wert has a long-time experience in scientific illustration, which plays a great part in his creative process. He is focused on getting every detail right, whether it’s adding a drop of water resting on a flower petal or getting the surface texture right to the very last spore.
According to Wert, he chooses common subjects like flowers and fruit because there is much more to them than we initially perceive.
“The experience of painting common subjects reveals just how unknowable they truly are. The more I look, the more mysterious the world becomes: we are on an alien planet enveloped by other life, “the artist shared in a recent chat with Realism Today.
Wert’s works have been exhibited all over the world and can be found in private and public collections. The artist also shares his newest works on social media while also providing his followers insight into his creative process. Scroll down to check more of his still life oil paintings.

]]>Amber is an illustrator and textile artist based in London and her one-of-a-kind embroidery creations attracted 50,000 followers to her Instagram page so far. Her art is mostly inspired by nature, folk art, and mythology, revolving around poetic narratives and romantic symbolism.
“Her work is decorative, intricate and full of color, often focusing on the celebration of femininity and fantasy. She loves all things esoteric and ethereal, drawing inspiration from many places, but with a particular interest in nature, folk art and mythology,” explains Amber on her official website.
In addition to exploring the subjects that we don’t often get to see in other artists’ embroidery, Amber won us over with the unique techniques and materials she uses to bring her art to life. Instead of simply relying on needles and thread, she enjoys adding beads to the mix. They make her art even more dazzling and beautiful and give it a magical, dreamy quality.

]]>According to Holt, she always liked myths and folklore stories and used to read them a lot when she was young. She later started researching mythology further and ended up combining it with her passion for pottery.
“I have always had a passion for classical literature, Greek epics, and the surrealist current, which guides my research and personal interpretation of my subjects,” Holt shares on her website. “Each piece is a one-off, illustrated with a drawing inspired by places, mythology, or childhood stories.”
While Holt combines several techniques, her favorite one is sgraffito. Popularized in Italy during the 15th and 16th centuries, sgraffito includes covering an unfired ceramic body with glaze or color and then scraping it off in order to create contrasting images, patterns, or lettering. Besides making pots, vases, and other vessels, Holt applies her unique style to handmade ceramic tiles.

]]>The post Stelios Pupet Creates Captivating Paintings Using Grids appeared first on https://everydaymonkey.com.
]]>Pupet’s paintings start with a grid structure. From there, the artist fills out each grid with color, building a striking image that looks slightly distorted but still represents a whole composition. A particular grid doesn’t always seamlessly follow the ones that surround it, further adding to the uniqueness of the piece.
According to Pupet, he first started using the grid technique several years ago when wanting to transform a digital sketch into a silicon print. He was intrigued by the possibilities that grids added to his creative process, so he started using them in his other works.
“What happened is that I used to paint in a more traditional style, but I was always trying to find different ways to imprint reality through my works,” Pupet explained in a recent interview.
Pupet is now using his grids approach to create paintings that became popular among art collectors around the world. He is also translating this unique style to other works, such as a recent mural in Zaragoza, Spain.

]]>Fabio’s approach is a testament to creative innovation in street art. By incorporating living trees into his portraits, he brings a dynamic and organic element to his work. The trees add not just a three-dimensional aspect but also a sense of life and growth to the static images.
The process of creating these artworks is as fascinating as the result. The artist has to carefully select locations where the natural growth of the trees aligns with his artistic vision. He paints each stroke with the tree in mind.
Beyond its visual appeal, this art form is a profound commentary on the relationship between humans and nature. And what a great reminder that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places and ways.
