Colin LoCascio’s Quirky Designs Are Taking Hollywood By Storm

If you still haven’t heard of the emerging designer Colin LoCascio, it’s time to learn his name since everyone in Hollywood already did. His quirky designs put him on the map, and they’re now making their way to some of the biggest red carpet events of the year.

Colin LoCascio launched his eponymous label during the pandemic, but he’s no newcomer in the fashion world. Following graduation from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2015, he worked for the likes of Marc Jacobs and Adam Selman but eventually decided to forge his own path.

Colin LoCascio’s designs are impossible to ignore because they simply scream fun. They’re instantly recognizable thanks to their maximalist patterns, cartoonish prints, and textured details inspired by frogs, flowers, pasta, and everything else in between.

Colin LoCascio’s brand blew up on social media after Iris Apatow wore his sequined gown with 3D beaded flowers earlier this year, but it took years for the NYC-based designer to find “overnight success”.

“You’re kind of always waiting for your viral moment. You read articles of, ‘Lady Gaga wore this designer thing and it popped off.’ But that has not really been my story, necessarily. It’s kind of been a long journey to now. So, it just feels super-important,” he told InStyle.
