Tomas Barcelo is Spanish artist who creates intriguing sculptures inspired by steampunk and ancient art. His works are blend of futurism and antique while being made by combining discarded objects and materials.
Barcelo has had an interest in art since childhood, when he was creating sculptures from whatever material he could get his hand onto. He later dedicated himself to educating others, working as a high-school teacher for years, but the creativity never left him.
Finally, in 2014, Barcelo decided to dedicate himself to art completely and started creating intriguing pieces that look like they come out of another reality.
According to the artist, he doesn’t use models and references and prefers to work from scratch on each piece. The results are unique works of art that have a strong presence and captivate attention.
