TikToker Asked to Pay for Gas After Friend of a Friend Gives Him Ride Home

If you ask us, the perfect end of a night out has to be when you manage to get a ride back home from a friend or even a friend of a friend. Not having to deal with public transportation or looking for a cab is always a cause for celebration. But for one TikTok user, it was also a source of frustration.

TikToker @peterpribylpierdinock recently shared a clip that shows how receiving a ride back home from “friend of a friend” ended up on a surprising note for him. The clip features a text message he received from someone named Julia, who apparently gave him a lift the night before.

In the text message, Julia asks @peterpribylpierdinock to give her his Venmo details, so she could charge him $2.47 for driving him home. She also ask for his roommate’s Venmo, adding that “gas is so pricy.”

“Friends of friends getting way too bold,” TikToker captioned the video.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to find out how everything ended and if Julia ended getting her gas money. However, the video ended up getting 3.8 million views and sparked a whole discussion about who’s right here.

Some social media users argue that the woman has the full right to ask for gas money as she did @peterpribylpierdinock a favor, and the amount isn’t all that high. Others believe that she should have told them about the gas money upfront or simply not given them a ride. What do you think?
