Vanessa Branchi’s Digital Illustrations are Simple Without Being Simplistic

Vanessa Branchi’s digital illustrations cut to the chase. Employing simple shapes and bold color palettes, Branchi manages to simplify complex ideas, with visual commentary that’s both witty and poignant. “Drawing has been a great passion of mine ever since I was a young child,” said Branchi in an interview with Inky Goodness. “It took me some time before I realized that it could do it professionally, and make it a part of my everyday life.”

Born in Italy, where she graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, she’s currently based in Berlin, doing what she does best: drawing that is. “I’m spending time discovering Berlin, and getting involved in the artistic scene,” she relayed. “Coming here has been a complete change of surroundings. All of this and a fresh pair of eyes will no doubt influence my illustrations. I feel ready to accept this exciting new challenge and work on new and exciting collaborations.”

With past collaborations including clients like Google, Siemens, Time Out, and The Telegraph, her success story is almost certain. A city person through and through, she draws her inspiration from her urban environment, adding a layer of sophistication to her already sophisticated work.
