Isa Bredt Turns Shelter Pet Photos Into Disney-Style Illustrations to Help Them Find Homes

Dutch illustrator Isa Bredt transforms pet photos into Disney-style illustrations and they look just as good as the real Disney animations! Her project titled, Pet Disneyfication started six years ago when she was only a 16-year-old girl.

Bredt has been drawing since she was young, but she didn’t consider making it a career until after high school. She studied illustration and animation before deciding to quit her program during her third year to focus on her pet portraits.”Pet Disneyfication is something I did very sporadically in my free time for about 5 years,” Bredt told Bored Panda. “I started because I was and still am a big fan of both drawing animals and the old Disney style.”

During an interview with Bored Panda, the 22-year-old artist made it clear that she’s not a Disney employee, just a dire hard fan. Her favorite movies are The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations, and The Artistocats.

At just 16, she posted on Reddit offering free art to people who sent her pictures of their pets, with the hopes of practicing her Disney style. She admits that at the time her art wasn’t very good and it wasn’t until last summer that she started doing commission work and posted her illustrations on Instagram.

She soon started drawing shelter pets who are looking for their forever homes and she hopes the cute illustrations will help them get adopted.
